Who We Are

Ruth Schweiger, a seasoned veteran in the tourism industry with roots in both Ireland and Germany, joined forces with tour guide Jake Doherty to create Big Ear Tours. Ruth, originally from Limerick, Ireland, established the International Ticket and Travel Center in February 2017 while Jake Doherty established All Things Garmisch in 2011. Their combined twenty years expertise in travel and tourism has brought them to the realization that many travel destinations need a more affordable immersive cultural experience. An experience that allows you to feel at home anywhere you are without breaking the bank.

Drawing on Ruth's background in tourism and Jake's passion for showcasing Bavaria's hidden treasures their audio guided tours aim to create a stress free way for you to be entertained, enthralled, and educated.
